Addicted 2 Decorating (A2D) is owned by me, Kristi Linauer, an interior decorator and owner of Kristi Linauer Interiors. This website is an extension of my interior decorating business for the purpose of inspiring homeowners with creative and inexpensive decorating ideas.
This website is provided for entertainment and informative purposes only and is intended for adult users only. While A2D is a family-friendly website and does not contain any material of a “mature” nature, the projects, tutorials, and articles found here are intended for an adult audience, as they include the use of power tools, chemicals, and other items that can cause injury (or worse) to children.
Projects & Tutorials
Neither I nor any of my contributors claim to be professionals in the areas of DIY (do-it-yourself) projects or home improvement. We are simply people who enjoy decorating, DIY projects, and home improvement projects, and enjoy sharing our process along the way. Our suggestions, methods, and tutorials are not error-free, and we make absolutely no guarantees that readers who tackle these projects will have the same outcome.
If you choose to use one of the tutorials on this website, you do so at your own risk. Please use extra safety precautions (even if they are not specifically mentioned in the tutorial, e.g., the use of protective goggles, gloves, etc., when needed), and do any additional research needed so that you feel comfortable taking on these projects and using the suggested tools. And most importantly, please use common sense.
By using this website (and any of the tutorials or decorating advice found on A2D), you agree that if you are injured while attempting something you’ve seen on Addicted 2 Decorating, or if a project does not yield the results that you intended after following the tutorials and tips shown here, you will not hold Addicted 2 Decorating, Kristi Linauer, Kristi Linauer Interiors, or any contributor to Addicted 2 Decorating liable in any way.

January 25, 2013 at 7:44 amHi there,
I would like to know what the steps were that Casandra followed to paint the piano? I want to paint an old antique, but I don’t want it to look painted – se the brush streaks etc. The items I see in stores at the moment almost looked sprayed or coated like an expo of some sort? Hope I make sense.

May 15, 2013 at 10:21 amI’m interested in blogging and currently in the “research” stage of the process, as my goal is to make it lucrative. I stumbled on your blog through pinterest and it’s been really informative. I know I could goggle many of the stipulations you have written on this page…but I’m hoping to find one credible source…do you have any suggestions on books, texts, or sites where I can further research the legalities of blogging, copyrighting and saving my content??? I appreciate your time. ~Infinee

November 21, 2013 at 10:11 amHi Kristi
I am Gauri from India. Just came across your website while searching for pistachio shells art and i was amazed to see the wonderful decoration ideas you have shared. I don’t believe that one can be so innovative and imaginative. The best I have liked so far is the space saving magnetic spice board. You may know that Indian food is full of spices and its always a pain where to store it. Your creation is such a superb i cant express. However I don’t know if I can try making it successfully.

November 16, 2015 at 6:28 pmHi Kristi,
Love your site! Just was wondering, what sheen do you normally paint your walls in? Flat? Eggshell? or what?
Thanks,
Donna
