Addicted 2 Decorating (A2D) is owned by me, Kristi Linauer, an interior decorator and owner of Kristi Linauer Interiors.  This website is an extension of my interior decorating business for the purpose of inspiring homeowners with creative and inexpensive decorating ideas.

This website is provided for entertainment and informative purposes only and is intended for adult users only.  While A2D is a family-friendly website and does not contain any material of a “mature” nature, the projects, tutorials, and articles found here are intended for an adult audience, as they include the use of power tools, chemicals, and other items that can cause injury (or worse) to children.

Projects & Tutorials

Neither I nor any of my contributors claim to be professionals in the areas of DIY (do-it-yourself) projects or home improvement.  We are simply people who enjoy decorating, DIY projects, and home improvement projects, and enjoy sharing our process along the way.  Our suggestions, methods, and tutorials are not error-free, and we make absolutely no guarantees that readers who tackle these projects will have the same outcome.

If you choose to use one of the tutorials on this website, you do so at your own risk.  Please use extra safety precautions (even if they are not specifically mentioned in the tutorial, e.g., the use of protective goggles, gloves, etc., when needed), and do any additional research needed so that you feel comfortable taking on these projects and using the suggested tools.  And most importantly, please use common sense.

By using this website (and any of the tutorials or decorating advice found on A2D), you agree that if you are injured while attempting something you’ve seen on Addicted 2 Decorating, or if a project does not yield the results that you intended after following the tutorials and tips shown here, you will not hold Addicted 2 Decorating, Kristi Linauer, Kristi Linauer Interiors, or any contributor to Addicted 2 Decorating liable in any way.

Use Of Photos From Outside Sources By A2D

All of the photos shown on this website that have not been taken by Kristi Linauer or a contributor to Addicted 2 Decorating are credited and linked to their outside sources and are used according to the U.S. Copyright Fair Use Act, title 17, U.S. Code.

If your photo has been used on Addicted 2 Decorating, and has been credited and linked incorrectly, or if you believe the use of your photo to be in violation of your exclusive rights as a copyright holder, please notify us at [email protected] and we will make the needed corrections or remove your photo immediately.

If you would like to share or use a photo that appears on A2D, but belongs to another blogger or website, you will need to click over to the original source and follow that blogger’s or website’s rules and restrictions regarding using and sharing photos.  A2D cannot give you permission to use someone else’s photos.

Use Of Photos Belonging To A2D By An Outside Source

All photos on this website that are not credited to an outside source are the property of Addicted 2 Decorating (most are watermarked with © Addicted 2 Decorating).  If you would like to use photos belonging to Addicted 2 Decorating on your website or blog, please feel free to do so as long as the photos are credited and linked back to Addicted 2 Decorating with the anchor text “Addicted 2 Decorating” or a description of the project or room shown in the photo.

Please do not use nondescript anchor text that simply says “here” or “source” or “via” or any other single, nondescript word.

DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, EDIT OR ALTER MY PHOTOS, including removal of the watermark, without prior written approval.  You may send your request to addicted2decorating[at]live.com. 

Please limit your use to one or two photos per project or room.  In other words, using every single photo from a tutorial or room reveal in your article or blog post, even if fully credited and linked, is strictly prohibited unless you have received prior express permission from A2D.

Failure to link back and credit Addicted 2 Decorating as the source of the photo(s), or any usage of photos owned by A2D in any way not expressly permitted above, will be considered a violation of the exclusive rights of copyright held by A2D, and will be dealt with as a copyright violation.

Duplication Of Text Found On A2D

Duplicating any of text found on Addicted 2 Decorating (even if it’s credited to Addicted 2 Decorating) is prohibited as it hurts both parties’ Google Rankings due to being indexed as duplicate content.  Instead of copying and pasting text from Addicted 2 Decorating, please paraphrase, summarize, or link to copy on Addicted 2 Decorating.
